4.32 - Is this the first time Boz did the "loneliness is emptiness" lyric?

That one is pretty straightforward. It’s the ones where Billy tries to be a preacher that are the bad ones. He tries to make that rant actually mean something and then gets lost in his own bs. Take the ones from New York 8/05/94 and 8/06/94. The 8/05 show was largely a disaster because of that I Am One. The show never recovered. They opted to open the next show with an even more over the top version of the song, which was even worse.

Hard to take that song seriously when you also have James wearing a space helmet and making laser gun noises in the background. In that video you can also see the moment where Jimmy drops out of the song like “okay, thats enough of that shit”. He does the same thing in that video at the end of Silverfuck, immediately leaving his drum kit at the earliest possible moment, while Corgan finishes off the noise ending.

Who is this band? I saw some band called the smashing pumpkins not too long ago and they kinda remind me of this band here.... regardless, they’re pretty good...I’m sure in 15 years they’ll still be rocking out this hard, right?!?

Smashing Pumpkins Live at Downing Stadium (Randall's Island) on 1994-08-05 - This rant is awesome though

It's funny at the end of the Siva:

James: "YEAH YOU MOTHERFUCKER PLAY THAT FUCKIN' BLUES YEEAAAOOO"
Billy: "Let's face it, this whole evening's bust"

Then they do a hoedown and James goes wild with the banter. "PLAY THAT WACK-ASS DOPE BEAT AGAIN".

If you don't like this, how do you even like the Pumpkins?

it's hard to call any SP1 show a disaster if it's SP1 imo

like either it's a killer show, or it's a memorable one from it being so shitty

I love those moments when Jimmy just ups and leaves while the rest of the band is fucking around making noise. You can see him tear out at the end of X.Y.U. in the Rio show from 1996 (my favorite Pumpkins show) when Billy is stumbling around the stage high as a kite bumping his guitar into things and James is making noises with the whammy pedal.
