I agree, and it's a huge misconception. Pan people don't "get to" define bisexuality as two genders, but some still do (not just pan-identifying folx, but anybody, really) and this is a whole other can of worms!

I'm a bi-identifying cis-woman where it means I'm attracted to same gender, and non-same gender. Some use it to mean male and female. Some use it for other specific groups of people. Anyway, I'm monogamously married to a cis dude, so I'm mostly invisible anyway

So... with that said, there are a lot of different ways people can define their own sexualities and it is fine!

I've not watched it, but I have reprints of the original William Moulten Marston/H.G. Peter comics, and they are my favourite iteration of Wonder Woman. Some really interesting ideas and themes of feminism (although it was of the cultural feminist variety, so it was still pretty gender-essentialist) and BDSM. The character was kind of sanitized after Marston left the book and Robert Kanigher took over, and though there were good runs since then (George Perez's reboot, runs by Phil Jiminez, Eric Luke and Gail Simone, among others), it never really returned to the ideas Marston was originally exploring in the book.

If you want a more modern take on Wonder Woman that does hearken back to the original material (most people I know, unless they are really into comics, just can't get into Golden-Age comics), check out Grant Morrison's Wonder Woman: Earth One. It's a self-contained take on Wonder Woman, separate from the mainstream universe, in which he specifically seeks to explore Marston's ideas, but in a modern context. There are two books out, and it's planned to be a trilogy. Some of my favourite Wonder Woman material in years, and the first book kind of strikes me as having something to say about the tensions between third-wave liberal and second-wave radical feminism.
