multiple reasons: my supervisor and team leader see him differently than I do. he's the coach, he trains new people before they enter our team and answers their questions once they've started. It's not like we have new people all the time though, so for the most part he does the same thing I do. at least, he should. I feel he just knows how to play them the right way. also I suspect him and the supervisor to be friends but that's speculation.

he became a coach instantly when the previous one walked out without an introduction one day so that felt weird already. it's not like they first asked the team if someone wanted to fill that role. that reinforces my suspicions that there is a certain level of nepotism

the real reason work makes you so sick to your stomach and wish you were fucking dead is never because of the labor or the effort or the strain, it's because of that fucking piece of god damn shit person you need to answer to. and it is like a universal law that you will forever be forced to answer to people for whom you have absolutely no respect at all as human beings and in fact, mammals.

The latter, it was a month after my wife at the time had abruptly moved out without warning. A coworker had said something nasty (but unrelated) to me and I blew a gasket.
