I heard about the tornado that ripped through your city and fucked shit up.

I am alive!! Would you believe I slept through it all? I was so drunk last night I was dead to the world when the storm came through. Around campus trees are torn down everywhere. We had a huge tree fall in our backyard, it was real close to hitting our AC unit. I had to walk to class this morning and there was so much debris in the roads and parking lots. My roomates friend had 2 trees fall through his roof, we went over there earlier to help cut them. As far as the rest of memphis goes I am not sure what kind of damage there was. I know that the gibson guitar factory had some bad damge to one side of the building. Cell phone towers are down and I haven't been able to reach any of my friends to see if they are OK. I can't even reach my girlfriend

Our cable is out and alot of East memphis has no power. Pretty fucked up man. Youshould of seen the madness at the gas station. Also I think i heard on the radio there was a tree over Beale street that is on the verge of falling over onto the street..

That is pretty pathetic. The news coverage I saw on it looked like armageddon. I don't know how anyone could sleep through that.

my aunt used to vaccuum around my dads head when he was sleeping and he wouldn't wake up, so, you never know!

I saw downtown with its downed traffic lights and whatnot.. and the more suburban areas looked fucked to shit. What part of town are you living in? I thought you were on campus.

I live right across campus on Spottswood. We definetley did not get hit as hard as other areas. Bartlett still has no power. I heard a Joe's Crab shack was blown apart, walnut grove and germantown pkwy had power lines knocked down everywhere, one of the cranes at the arena construction site is teetering and could fall anytime. Most schools were closed today, but alas the UofM is still open. AND i still have no idea how I slept through this shit.
