Ok.

Those of you who have ridden on Amtrak on a few occasions...how late do the trains usually run?

I'm supposed to get back to Chicago on August 10th and 4:20. The APC show is at 7:00 at the Metro.

What are my chances here?

I have never had any problem with Amtrak running late. I've taken the train to Anaheim a number of times, and from NY-NJ.

My friends have done the 32-hour Texas Eagle from Dallas to Chicago several times and I don't recall ever having to wait more than 10 extra minutes to pick their sorry asses up at the Amtrak station.

Geh. Why are all these people telling me that Amtrak trains NEVER run on time??

If you have a ride waiting for you or can take the L or Metra to the Metro (i don't know Chicago well), then your train could be 2 hours late and you'd still make it on time to see MAYNARD. If not, I'm sure someone will record it for you.

I will now more than likely have a ride from the train station to the Metro. So it doesn't look too bad.

i'm sure they won't take the stage at 7pm. you won't be front of the line or anything, but i doubt you'd miss anything.
