Thumbs up i love how smell is the best trigger of memory

I can just turn my face towards my left shoulder and still smell his cologne/soap/whatever on me. mmmm. life can be quite touching sometimes.

I have a very strange sense of smell so that doesn't always work for me . But it's really nice when you're somewhere and you smell something that has a happy memory behind it and you can go off and daydream about it. Like triaminic (sp?) and salt water.

Count Chocual: smells remind me of nothing.
Count Chocual: its probably due to the time I had a bottle rocket shot up my nose when I was a kid
x pay no mind x: thats weird. its a wellknown fact that smell is a big memory-trigger-er
Count Chocual: I permamently lost any sense of taste and smell
Count Chocual: not for me.
Count Chocual: because I have no emotions
Count Chocual: being a guy and all.
Count Chocual: we don't have feelings.
x pay no mind x: heh yeah right

There is a certain plastic-ish smell, that whenever I smell it, it reminds me of opening a Chewbacca toy in the backseat of my parents car sometime in the early 80's.

i find certain smells remind me of different times too as well as images and thoughts, etc. but the interesting thing is it reminds me of states of mind. really like i time travelled back because i feel my mind thinking the way it did or that same kind of mental feeling at that era in my life. its hard to pinpoint of explain cause its such a nonexistant thing. id smell this certain carpet smell and remember grade 5. portable. teacher who thought i was "special". and a kind of anxiety and feelings i only felt then. thats the special thing. its quite painful actually
