Moving out / Finding a new place

OK, so I'm moving out of my house now, and it sucks because I liked it and now I have to find a new place. I don't even know where to being, I have very little money, and no friends really. wtf.

Anyone had to do the same thing, and have any helpful suggestions?

i'm in the same boat. i need to find a place for the school year. i have a roommate, but i know she is going to drive me even crazier then the one i had last year.
all i can tell you from my experience is it's hard at first, but definately worth it once you get everything settled in and worked out.

I used roommate services. But it was a disaster. so I guess that isn't good advice.

I'd try to get a 1bdrm, if you can afford it.

thats what i did to find this girl... i think she's the type that is gonna want to be best friends and do everything together :erm

I'm suddenly about to move in with brand new parents, actually in time to be there when the baby comes. For six months.

How fucking unbelievably lucky.

Try to find a roommate who already lives in a nice apartment. OR try to find a studio/efficiency. Depending on the city you live in, there are a lot of apartment finding/searching websites out there. And, of course, there is your local paper. And try also looking on the local colleges/universities websites...a lot of times they have info about off-campus housing that could be of use to you.
