What's the longest break you've taken from school and gone back?

I've been off of school for a year and a half now and am going back next month. It feels wierd but at the same time it will be a relief to be on the way to finishing a degree.

i am in university and have simply chosen not to take the summer semester. Its not really a break though.

The longest I ever took off was from about June 2002 - Febuary 2003. It was just my regular summer break but then I got Mono in August and decided to drop all my classes instead of decimating my GPA.

Between graduating from undergrad and going to grad school, I took 1 semester (because I graduated early) and 1 summer off.

Blah. I graduated in May, and I'm not entering grad school (hopefully, still haven't applied/been accepted) until January. Just thinking about that time off makes me feel like a delinquent.
