Jesus Christ Michael Shannon is in everything these days. He's the new Samuel Jackson. He must do like five films a year. And in every one of them he plays a deranged person.

I still vividly remember the episode of Boardwalk Empire where he drowns the guy in the river right in front of all those people being baptized. He starts off baptizing the guy but quickly gets all unhinged and ends up drowning him. That is the probably the craziest thing I've ever seen on a network television show.
