during lunch today i called pure barre to make sure the $99 unlimited classes for a month thing i purchased a few months back is still good (and it is). my first class will be Tuesday, January 9th. and last night i worked out in our new home basement gym. i'm barely sore. hardly.

tomorrow i'm going to a 2-hour (i will be coming in early and taking a long lunch) training for a gubernatorial candidate forum taking place next month. i'll tug on my ears for you, net4ia.

it was sort of accidental; one of life's minuscule gifts, it allowed me to roll my eyes and laugh. I went to reply and then must have been called away. I went to the Art Science Museum yesterday, and then out for thai, for dinner. I arrived home with the younger son and his new lego and checked my phone and lo, a pithy one liner had been changed, one for the other.

The curtains had been drawn, and inside lay not a casual, off-the-cuff, critic. No. A second-guessing, image crafting strategist, just like the rest of us. Except, also, a friend to nobody.

Well, let's see.

- be a kinder and nicer person in general. 2017 was one of those years I've let people get to me the most and let out a side of myself I really dislike.

Big fail, I feel I was the worst version of myself this year. At least that's how it feels considering how most of things in my life went this year (really downhill).

- listen more than talk.

- eat less fatty food.

Ok, this is something I achieved. Still indulged in some fast food here and there, but I managed to lose about 4kg. Which isn't great but it's something.

Since I forgot because of being busy as the best mom possible, stayed sober, got off meds, and go out like half the week, I am saying it's a complete success. I did not, however, give up coffee. Can't wait to make such grandiose resolutions this year!
