I always liked IPAs, but recently saw a thing about how they're high in phytoestrogen.

This is great if you're caught in the cruel throes of insomnia and/or menopause, but not such amazing news if you're a dude that doesn't particularly want to go up a cup-size or experience erectile dysfunction.

mine at bars is shiner bock but it's surprisingly not easy to come by. i would hate when bars in dallas would charge import prices for a beer made in shiner, tx. if i would ask a bartender if they considered it import or export before ordering, the typically offered me the lower price even if they charged import prices.

there are too many varieties of beer for me. i always freeze up when i wind up at one of those places with a novel for a beer list

I'm not usually a beer drinker, but we went out to dinner with friends at an outdoor hawker centre, and I drained a pint of Tiger which tasted and felt amazing. Something about the heat and the noises makes beer delicious.

My husband buys Tiger to drink at home and it tastes unappealing, usually. But i run the aircon 24/7 at home so I'm already comfortable I guess.

I think it forces people to be more direct. Like i now have to just ask what are your lagers or stouts or porters. That way I can weed through a "draft list" of meaningless garbage names.

I love drinking beer out in the sun. No better time to do it as far as I'm concerned. Of course you have to remember to stay adequately hydrated, but it just feels good.

Part of the reason why it's easier for me not to drink now that the cold weather is returning.

I had my first drink in over 2 weeks yesterday. I just drank one of those cans of Rock Star Vodkas on a walk. Just to prove to myself that I can have a drink, chill and then go a long while without drinking again. Too much literature that I've read about problem drinking suggests that the only way to stop is to never drink a drop again, but I'm just not down with that.

the worst thing about beer is the crap you eat before you throw up. If i had just been vomiting up beer it would have been fine. But after five pints you know you're gonna walk home and get some shitty food on way, and then by the time you crawl through your front gate and into your house it's time for bits of badly chewed lettuce and tomato and olives to explode out of your mouth into the toilet
