Now that New Orleans has a franchise, they should try to trade teams with Utah. The Utah Hornets makes more sense than the Utah Jazz.

only reason i haven't said much is that i haven't really been around for more than a minute or two recently. i'm still going to talk the same smack, not only b/c the lakers are -still- going to take the title home this year...but also b/c ace of aces is a bucks fan....and as much as that must hurt him, i feel the need to remind him of it. i'm also enjoying watching san antonio come away w/ r.nesterovic after having all the momentum and money they could ask for. oh, and poor jczeroman has to deal w/ the blazin' blazers. (i'd mention nimrod...but his team is in the eastern conference...and well, the story goes "how the west was won"...not the east).

anyhow, it's still Lakers in the 04'. a dominate & healthy Shaq > anything any other team can put on the court.

but the spurs just won the title with a guy who put up less points and less minutes than nesterovic did last season.

nesterovic is a stiff. he's not very agile, and is not much a defensive presence. sure, he put up 2pts/game or so more than robinson having played 6-7 minutes more, but robinson was a more authoritative presence in the key...he worked hard for rebounds and was great at helping out on the weakside. they'd run robinson over nesterovic anyday, had he not been retiring.

you could even call it an even switch, and i'd still be laughing b/c while they had all the cash and the title to flaunt, it's the lakers who reeled in the big fish.

Points schmoints. The Spurs have plenty of players that can score. What they need was inside presence, shot blocking, and rebounding. Nesterovic doesn't bring these things to the table.
