what a great fucking song. his best for me so far, definitely.

i think the piano in that song might be the single best recorded piano sound i've ever heard in my life
For the most part I like the new album a lot, despite a lot of backlash about him being so on-the-nose and overtly political/social in his lyrics. It's a good album.

But this song, which is seemingly the only one which is a "personal" song more like his past writing, leaves me wishing the whole album were in this vein instead of it being the outlier.

I guess maybe magic mountain is a disney reference, filling FJM's quota for talking about consumer capitalism in every song

No, it was definitely one of the silver surfer testicles.

1 of 2 rare items. Worth a fortune.

Bar McFly?

That place had a bunch of old EMs the last time I was there ~two years ago...not bad.

Damn, tied for 6th is no small deal. That's pretty solid. How many people are in the league?

Do you have any tips of the trade? I'm still super casual when it comes to my hobby (mainly because as I mentioned, it's against the law in this jurisdiction to have any kind of gaming in bars).

I still love throwing 5-10$ down a game with friends and competing it out for a handful of games when there actually is some pinball machines present.

Our stats show 531 total players, but maybe half of those are active each season.

Learn the techniques to keep control, or get control back if the ball is bouncing all over the place...things like live catching, tap pass, loop pass, etc. Bounce pass and live catch are two of the main ones I try to use, but you can't use them on every machine or in every situation. It takes practice.

As for individual game strategies, check YouTube, and especially the PAPA tutorials here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...RqAiSqcvSuK11h

A night of pinball can be cheaper than going out to the movies or doing other stuff, depending on how much you end up spending on beer. :P
