when I was in the open relationship, both of us slept with multiple other people. at different points, we also had more serious secondary relationships with other people. Our relationship came first and was primary, there was no room for negotiation on that.

I was in a relationship of sorts with my friend at the same time, who was also seeing a number of people simultaneously. we all consented, and we were all happy with our adult choices to run our lives the way we saw fit and not the way some fucking dropout on the internet sees fit despite his inability to have a relationship of literally any kind whatsoever

It's not sexist. If I'm in a relationship I honor the temporary commitment by being faithful and I'd expect her to do the same. If she asked if I would be okay with her also having sex with other guys I'd politely express that it's not my cup of tea and wish her well.

Now, I've done the meaningless sex thing a bunch too when I was younger, and it was fun and I have some rad memories, but ultimately you have to grow up at some point... And promiscuity just seems a lot less fun when you're a man reaching or in his 30's.
