I think you'll find that libraries, university hallways, grocery stores, betting agencies, bottle shops and the like are perfectly reasonable environments for human interaction not divorced from the possibility of boundless romance.

ehhhh... Maybe if there's chemistry that emerges as a result of happenstance during the menial every day encounters.. But just spotting some eye candy from across the store or library and approaching em and asking for a number is a different story.

Why are these environments so distinct in your mind from the bar setting?

I like to think that a person's actual conduct is significantly more relevant, unless we're talking about approaching people at a wake or in the waiting room of an intensive care unit.

It's just the way the societal construct is. The only time other women have hit on me has been in a in a party or club situation. It's just part of that culture.

between TV commercials and the delay of game that pitchers have caused over the past 20 years it's almost as bad as football.

almost? hmmm...NFL shrunk time in the game over the years and increased it to commercials. and the friggin NBA and college bball with all those timeouts at the end with reviews, it's the worst. At least hockey flows with it's time and baseball has no clock (as yet).

Baseball is fucking amazing. Football is pretty good

Basketball and hockey are lame. The constant action makes it hard to follow, forcing you to pay attention the whole game. In basketball they score so much it becomes meaningless. In hockey they score so little the rest of the game is boring (and it's very easy to miss a score)
