Default is ace ventura the least woke movie of all time?

Ace pulls the pants off a trans woman in front of 40 of her co-workers, points at her penis, and they all start barfing.

I don't mean the plot of the scene, i mean re-examining it in 2017.

It's hilarious to me how inappropriate it is now vs 20+ years ago.

I'm not on trial here. Crucify Jim Carrey.

yeah i haven't thought about it in a while but it's pretty fucked up

i don't think i've seen it since i was a little kid... i saw the second one in a psych hospital in 2010 and thought it was pretty funny. but i don't remember any homophobic/anti-trans/etc stuff in there

i remember the scene where the villain is exposed (literally) and thinking that somehow her penis was moved to her butt (instead of it being tucked) because that's what happened during sex reassignment surgery in case they wanted to go back to having a penis? or something. i think i asked my mom or dad at the time and somehow came up with this after they told me what it was. i was definitely confused

I was just trying to think of the most popular trans-phobic things in popular media and realized the entire movie was written around it

I loved this movie growing up. Now it just seems awkward and weird.

i didn't see crying game either but i think its basically about straight guy falls for person he thinks is wonderful woman, finds out is still a guy or was a guy idk, then agony occurs

i suppose the point is more about how foolish the protag is for being in agony instead of in love no matter the gender

I think someone being trans-gender would be a deal breaker for the majority of straight people.

right. it's supposed to be a plot twist to make the audience re-consider the meaning of love or some such

Weird, I have nearly an identical memory: confusion followed by a notion that the peen surgically moved to butt b/c thats just how they always do it, u gotta just have that nub back there forever

does a lady blow him before the credits for saving a dog that licks her boobs? Or was that the sequel. Member bein blown away by that level naughtiness (i was sheltered re movies etc)

That depends on what act we consider the making of someone if it's conception or birth.

Is birth an act?

The philosophical possibilities are endless.
