That's the thing about pre-K children; they are far closer to source than adults and are still rather tapped into natural knowledge before it starts to get undone by society, etc.

There is something pretty magical about preschoolers. I think part of it is their inability to multitask, mentally. If they are considering what is right in front of them, they are fully present in that consideration, because they haven't yet developed the mental capacity to only have half their brain engaged in that task while the other half is doing a million other things - evaluating the environment, planning for the rest of the day, replaying an awkward conversation from an hour earlier. The older people get, the easier it is to be distracted from the task at hand.

Preschoolers are fantastic. I used to work with children from birth-10 years old and preschoolers kinda steal the show for me. So cuuuttteeee
