Board sports contest

Hey guys, just wondering if you guys wanted to get something of a board sports contest going?

I'm an unaffiliated contributor on the website Covers.com and they host good sports contests. Maybe we can get a bunch of people from the forum to join for the MLB season and compete? The website offers prizes and prize-money but It would also be fun for bragging rights.

Check it out. I'm already in the NBA contest... Haven't even really been doing it daily or since the beginning of the season just kinda started not long ago and I'm already at #332 out of 7000 contestants.

So I'm now actually taking it a bit seriously. Hope I can go on a run for the rest of the season and finish in the prize pool.

Yeah I'm pretty spectacularly awful myself. Check this shit out:

Took (yayo!) a softball class in college. last day of class we're playing. its like in a movie.. they're batting and down by three with two outs. bases loaded. i'm the catcher since i sucked so bad at every other position. the batter hits a ground ball the shortshop throws it to me. i miss it and it rolls between my legs. i run back pick up the ball. third base is running in to home. the shortshop is standing on home base maybe three yards away from me. all i have to do is. toss him the ball and we win.

i throw the ball five feet over his head (i got excited ok). All the runners make it to home. we lose. the other team celebrates. i laugh but THEY ALL HATE ME!!

I hated having to play spots in phys ed... At least when I got to high school, I realized I could safely skip every phys ed class and they would never fail me instead the teacher would make me run a few laps around the courts and score me the lowest passing grade.

So that's what I did all throughout high school.

I was highly active until I got to about age 12 and all of the sudden you have to "make the cut" in order to play. Since I was apparently too mediocre, I gave up and spent my remaining adolescence getting high and skipping school.

I'm not all about the whole "participation trophy" scene, but if a kid wants to play, you fucking let him play. I mean, fuck, just make a Little League for retards like me.

High School will make damn sure you experience rejection at least a few dozen times. So great.

I'm the bomb. I've already sky-rocketed up to exactly number 300 on the contest while partaking in it a fraction of the time as the others.

If only I had took it seriously from the beginning I would have been a sure-fire candidate to take home a cash prize.
