Do you believe in ghosts?

Would you rather go sky diving, bungee jumping or shark diving?

What is the weirdest scar you have and what's the story behind it?

Do you still listen to any of the music that you were listening to half your life ago (when you were 14)? Excluding SP, of course.

I don't really believe in paranormal things, but I find ghost stories really compelling. I was in an old house once that was supposed to be haunted and I really thought I saw another person down the hall even though I was alone in the house, but you know, probably power of suggestion. But it was still creepy and I love hearing people's accounts of their personal unexplained phenomena.

I'm not sure about this one. I don't like heights, or deep water, but I would probably skydive and chill with sharks before I would bungee jump. Jumping from a plane seems like it wouldn't even seem real, but jumping from a high place tied to a line... I don't think I could do that. getting shivers thinking about it. Sharks would probably involve the least amount of fear for me.

I have a pretty weird, lumpy, triangular scar on the bottom knuckle of my left index finger. Remember the kid who was a pathological liar and told people he wrote my band's songs, then tried to pass off Linkin Park as his own band? In 9th grade in tech class he inexplicably burned me (on purpose) with an industrial hot glue gun. Just walked up to me totally unprovoked and was like HEY RYAN and glued my fucking hand. The pain was ridiculous and I started screaming and cursing, I kind of kicked/punched him as best I could in my doubled over state, and then picked up a bunch of shit off the table and hurled it at his head. The outer layer of flesh was burned clean off my knuckle.

The perp swore it didn't occur to him that it would burn me, he just wanted to show me it feels weird when glue dries on your hand. The pain was pretty excruciating but I actually didn't rat on him. I think even at 14 I recognized that there was something wrong with this dude and getting him suspended or something would not teach him a lesson more than me hitting him did. In hindsight fuck that I should have gotten his ass in trouble but I honestly felt bad for him because what the fuck could be wrong with you to do that? I wound up having to go to the doctor. By the end of the day my hand was swollen, the wound was pussing like crazy, and my hole hand felt like it was in some sort of shock.

music I still listen to from that period in my life: SP, other early 90s bands (nirvana, PJ), classic rock bands like the Beatles and Zeppelin

music I no longer listen to from that period in my life: Five For Fighting, The Ataris, The Offspring, Green Day, other really bad pop punk bands which were big in 2003

you get to choose how long you'll live, but can't change your mind or put an end to it. how long do you choose? 1 year? 100 years? 10,000 years? 1 billion years? remember, you can't kill yourself, so if you become very depressed or trapped somewhere, you're there until your time runs out. and we're assuming here that earth will continue to exist in some sort of inhabitable form, but as far as their being other people, who knows

It would be fun to watch the progression of Earth for 1 billion years but maybe sped up relative to what 1000 years would feel likel

I didn't realize there was anyone on this planet who actually *listened* to Five for Fighting. Did you listen to Train and The Fray as well?

I honestly think I would just pick a normal human lifespan. I guess I would have to resign myself to not off myself early, but ~75 years or so seems good. I wouldn't want to live many lifetimes and watch people I love die continually while I stay young.

Yeah someone bought me one of their albums and I was into it for awhile in like 7th grade. Never listened to Train, except Drops of Jupiter always reminds me of being at camp summer of 2001. The Fray isn't even from the same era though what are you saying.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why?

What's something you always wanted to try but didn't have to courage to yet?

Do you have a favorite cheesy pick up line and have you used it for real?

I'm not sure who exactly I would pick, but I think the most beneficial someone to switch places with would be someone whose life experience is very different than one's own, so think it would be interesting to live life as a woman for a day. I actually really wish this were possible, I am very curious.

ask out a total stranger. write a novel. move to a different place in my country or the world and live there (more permanently than I've done in the past). try to be in a real band or otherwise promote my own music in a more serious way. there are a lot of life experiences I hope to have but have not been able to accomplish out of fear. Hopefully I'll get some of these checked off in the next 28 years.

No, I've never used a pickup line on anyone. Despite the perception of me here as a debaucherous womanizer because of some of the stories I've told, I am generally very very respectful to females and have a serious fear of coming across creepy when I talk to them. It's very hard for me to make any sort of move unless the woman in question makes one first, or is giving me overt signs that it is ok. I had never even properly asked someone out until last year.

WWMM but SP2 is too easy. From their original official catalog, I would probably have to pick something off Machina, maybe Crying Tree

I mean, are we going to split hairs over a four year difference? That Fray album came out in 2005, music hadn't changed that drastically. Plus, they are cut from essentially the same cloth as those bands. And also, I was just being a smartass.
