Default ***SUPER BOWL PREDICTION***

Brady's gonna go in for the tuddy here but won't convert on the 2 point conversion.

There's too many people betting the over 56-58.... If Brady converts on the 2 pointer, Vegas will take too big a hit

Piece of shit? guys stayed out of any off-field drama (aside from that stupid deflate gate-shit but that don't count) and has all around been a great American roll-model.

I'm sad cause I lost a lot of money, but it's almost fitting in a romantic way that he won this.

ahhh yes, it comes back down to politics with you... of course.

Well: Tom Brady's been close friends with Trump for about 10 years. And he's had his back long before any presidential debate.

Yeah, it's fixed as hell bro. My fault for being on the wrong side of it of course, but still sensational as hell as 4/5 superbowls always "just happen to become".

This game reminds me of that game with the 49'ers against Baltimore I think... The Superbowl were they had the power-outage with Beyonce performing?

I think the score was something like 24-0 at half time and then the 49'ers come back with this sensational comeback only to lose in heartbreaking fashion by a field-goal.

still in any other world the game would have continued as a blow-out... But there's too much advertising dollars at stake. The NFL can't allow it to be a boring blow out.

fuzzyroes - honest question - do you truly believe it is rigged? do you have any strong evidence to support that? would be keen to understand how you think it is coordinated. can't imagine how in the real world you would have a set of athletes who clawed and scratched their way up to the pros, giving everything they've got to the pursuit of winning in their sport go along with such a thing. what incentives do you believe exist that are compelling enough to motivate them to do that? and it's not like these guys are wwe-types who have spent years on how to coordinate to a story line -- their careers are built on trying to win every chance they can -- they wouldn't suddenly become great actors, credibly coordinating a farce in 1 big game.

Oh man... You're gonna get me going down a rabbit-hole here that no one else wants to hear.

I'll just say this: Do you realize that the NFL and NBA have no legal obligation to perform under different terms than the WWE ? Under law they're just an entertainment industry. They have no legal bindings to confirm that the games have to be performed in a legit manner.

A LOT of NBA games are based around the Vegas spread... Not all, but they have to find a balance. They can't have Vegas getting destroyed every night cause of their integrity based sporting league with the best teams smoking the shitty teams each night. NBA's not a huge sport and they get a lot of their income from working with Vegas.

With NFL, it's not always rigged with Vegas (but a lot of the time it is)... Sometimes it's just fixed to give the viewing public the most entertaining viewing experience as possible... So if it's a hugely televised game and one teams up 21 points, they'll start calling needless penalties against the winning team (like we saw tonight 3 times in a row at one point against the Falcons) to level the playing field in order to make the game more exciting so the viewers don't tune out (which in turn hurts all of the advertisers)

I'm not sure if all of the players are in the "know". But it's hard to argue with what I and a ton of other wagering enthusiasts have seen over the years. The "conspiracy" doesn't even need the scrub players to be in on it. You have the top couple players on the NFL and NBA teams in on it who are being payed ridiculous amounts of money then they can swing it themselves.

I think part of the huge pay is to confirm that these guys conform and throw their morals out the door

Apparently Michael Jordan wasn't down with the point shaving (google that what color) and the match fixing and he'd just rebel against it... Soon he found himself banned from the league and his father murdered.

Say what you will... But there's more to be told of the Michael Jordan leaving the NBA for Baseball story than you've been told....

Think about it! The guy WAS THE FUCKING NBA!!!!!... There was some malicious shit going on, and for MJ to announce that he would rather take up baseball was a huge "I don't need you" to the NBA.

And What Color: I do definitely concur that the NBA is the most rigged sport out of the major 4.

NHL and the MLB are the least rigged.

For the NBA: google: "Tim Donaghy" he was a referee for a bunch of years and was a whistle blower on the NBA exposing how they rig their games. He exposes how they rigged some of the biggest games in order to benefit the status quo.

A lot of truthers have re-watched the games that Tim Donaghy exposed in his book and there's no doubt that he was favoring a certain outcome.

extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, as carl sagan said. what you've provided here seems to be assertions, conjecture, etc. let's focus on the superbowl, that's the original statement and my original question. do you have any credible evidence that the superbowl is rigged? and if so, what details do you have about how it is coordinated?

btw, i am asking because i am genuinely curious and don't know much about it

well look-up Tim Donaghy. He rigged some of the biggest NBA games under the orders of the NBA administration for how to make the outcomes the most entertaining and exciting.

I don't have the same evidence from the NFL but to think that a huge American corporation would operate differently with the HUGE MONUMENTAL advertising deals inked would be absurd.

the nba thing with a ref trying to steer the outcome is interesting and certainly believable, given the interviews, testimony which i'm seeing. but it's not the superbowl and it's not the same thing as what i think you were saying originally, which i interpreted as you saying the game was rigged to provide a sensational game

A lot of the huge prime-time games are always going to be sensational nail biters, and that is by orchestration.

It sucks to be a sports fan and know that truth, but it's better to know it than to be suckered in by it and be all emotionally invested and getting super pissed off by some sensational "comeback"

Oh yeah man... I mean 1 out of 5 super-bowls will be a blow-out or whatever to throw off the nay-sayers.

And this rigging is rather a modern act. Back as far as even the 90's they didn't have that sort of money involed. But nowadays it's strictly business first.

Here's another tid-bit I bet you didn't know" do you know what is the top visited english site in the world? excluding e-mail and youtube and google?

It's Espn.com... Yes, that's right. A fucking sports site is the most visited site of all english websites... Might even be the most visited site in the world, but I don't have the exact numbers on that.

Sports is huge fucking business man... There's advertisers that'll spend 2 million on 1 fucking commercial during the Superbowl... NFL has to assure that the product they're selling is going to be worthwhile and not a total turd or a dud

Don't you think somebody would've said something by now, or given some shred of evidence of cheating?

Edit: evidence of rigging* I should say. Teams get caught cheating all the time.

You don't need a lot of people in on it... Refs who are and their families are set for life, and you have a few of the superstars.

Jose Canseco, huge superstar: sure spilled a lot of beans about baseball... Ultimately: the idea was to sell as many tickets as possible... In the clubhouses they had coffee laced with medical speed and "unleaded" which was just regular caffeinated coffee. Owners knew all the guys were taking illegal drugs.... No one cared... It was good for business.
