And I guess if I had to choose Mike's wardrobe it would be different. But I have not done this to him. But my mom has, haha.He likes his video game t shirts and all that. The pho place is extremely casual and we don't look out of place for a quick meal and then grocery shopping and all that. People wear yoga pants and pajama pants and hoodies out sometimes which I find much more casual

Culinarily, not botanically (the Fabaceae)?

If so, really fresh sugar snap peas (kt and I eat these right off the vine), navy beans, especially in soup, and lentils made into a dosa

Have you seen Rick and Morty?

Do you still forage for wild food?

I have watched all of Rick and Morty twice. I have mixed feelings about it.

I haven't been able to put a good effort into foraging because of time constraints, but it's been on my mind. The vet I go to is in the inner coastal plain and I know where to find wild persimmons down there, yet all the times I went down there during the fall last year I couldn't muster the will to leave Tie in the car. There's nothing available right now. I have enjoyed trail snacks. Hoping that this summer is a little less hectic because I will only have one job, but I will be taking more classes so who knows.

No persimmons in the piedmont. They're like a novelty

I'm not sure how I feel about persimmons. I really want to like them but something is preventing me from committing

In the same area I probably collected 20 lbs of autumn olives (an invasive species) which I made into many jars of delicious jam that I used for years. Imagine a tomato mixed with wine mixed with plums or somrthing. They're amazing. I miss them so much, so I will try to catch these things next year.I started eating goji berries for the lycopene but these were FREE \m/ and I was removing fruit that would just be spread by birds and such (I strained it and put the seeds in the landfill garbage).

I tried a mayapple this past year but I have little memory of it. During that botany class I collected the dying (going dormant) second leaves of ramps and enjoyed those. So I did more foraging than I initially remembered but not as much as I ideally would. That would be making foraged material a meaningful percentage of my diet.

It's a little easier in the subtropics because the growing season is all around
