Default Anyone feel like times moving faster?

When I was a kid and in my early 20's it seemed like I had all these memories and that time was moving so slow but the years are now just melding together in a blur. It's kinda freaking me out.

yeah it happens to everyone

best theory i've heard is that when you've lived longer you've more to compare it to so it feels like and is comparatively a less amount of time. when you're 10 a year is 1/10th of your entire life now it's just 1/30th

Does it happen to everyone?

Cause in a lot of ways I've just done less cool stuff over the years and kind of sunk into the monotony of life. The thought that times just passing me by is kinda worrisome.

Like when I was 20 playing shows and going to partys and doing all this fun stuff it just felt so memorable and fun but now it's all just lame and unnoteworthy.

It's a byproduct of getting older. Just go with it.

wouldn't 1/10th of time move faster than 1/30th of time?

No worries, I got some irons in the fire. If anything time flying by is acting as a motivator.

i get it. in your previous post you were talking about years. i was thinking 1/10th of a year moves slower than 1/30th of a year.

gotcha. i mean that might not even be why it feels like that, time is absolute (i guess) but also think of it like when you first get a job everything is confusing and awkward and you are painfully aware of every awkward moment but then 10 years later it's like yolo shit happens and nothing is as magnified as that first time you pissed someone off?

I think this does indeed happen to everyone. I've always assumed it was just because arbitrary, small unites of time are proportionally smaller and smaller to your whole life experience as you get older.

When I have weed it moves slow.

When I don't have weed time doesn't matter, like everything else.

If time flies when you're having fun, and it seems to go by faster as we get older.
Does this mean we have more fun the older we get?

It's a matter of dynamism versus stagnation. Patterns are self-sustaining. Inertia. Static.

Do things you've never done before.
