have you ever thought how we pet cats or dogs over their entire bodies? imagine if there was some bigger animal that pet us over our backs and faces and stomachs how fucking weird would that be

petting animals is a way to satisfy the latent urge to groom, like primates do. there are two really interesting books that talk about this sort of thing, the naked ape and the human zoo, both by desmond morris. he's a zoologist.
