YOTR's self-titled is released today dudes. Its full of Ken Andrews' signature pop/rock and production excellence.

CMJ (07/07/03, p.6) - "...Big, loud, harmonious and quick....You'd be hard-pressed to find a stinker on this plate of hasenpfeffer."

there is also an instore signing at the virgin megastore on sunset in hollywood today @7:30. Im so there.

Exclamation

did you talk to grant about taping them? if not you should check to see if he allows SBD access. I doubt it though.

im assuming you're doing an AUD.

you can expect a 40 min to an hour long set im pretty sure. I won free tix at the awesome in-store to the troub show. Im not sure who im going with or how, but i'll be there with a pal. I'll be wearing my black Qotsa shirt.

My friend won tickets too so I'm going with him.
So yeah, I'll probably end up doing an AUD recording.

i posted this at the placid minds' site:

"The in-store was awesome.

I hope somebody recorded it. It was VERY electronic, much like ON. Speaking of which, i was the guy with the long hair and black ON shirt. They played alternate, electronic versions of Lie Down, Hunted, Rabbit Hole, and Hold Me up. If only Ken recorded studio alternate versions for a later release....

and i won tickets to the troubador show !! thats a first, as i don't ever win shit !! "

It was really cool and there were hardly any mess ups (the first few YOTR shows seemed a bit nervous-like and sloppy at times). Very tight, but short set. It was cool to hear alternate versions of their songs too--it waslike i was listening to them as if ON did them. I am a big fan of his work with ON, so that was a cool, and surprising treat.

Ken seemed pre-occupied during the signing, but took a look at my shirt and realized it was an ON shirt.

my friend did a video recording of it but he says it turn out crappy. I should ask him if the audio is any good. Maybe I could just extract it from the video.
