What do you guys use reddit for if you use it? I started identifying plants on there a year ago and it's a lot of fun for me. I stay away from pretty much all the rest of it.

sometimes i click a link and i just don't like the format. there's certain aspects of the culture like i found this thread that's just OMG DIGITAL CIGARETTES ARE INCREDIBLE with like, no counterpoint that i was really suspicious of. it kept plugging their goddamn sub reddit and how cool the hobby was
i also look at the SWTOR reddit lately sometimes |

I can't remember who said it but one of my friends quoted this to me the other day:
"4Chan is where smart people go to act stupid, Reddit is where stupid people go to act smart" and that pretty much sums up my position on it. That said it's become a hundred times more tolerable since they took /Atheism off the front page. |

in fact, i'm pretty sure his half-baked philosophy which is one part dawkins and one part obama is culled directly from reddit good lord, scotty makes so much more sense now oh, i have used reddit sometimes to read good celebrity ones or that shit with amy's bake shop or whatever it was on kitchen nightmares |

Reddit seems like this huge thing that I wouldn't even know where to start. Like, I hear there are some groups like paranormal stories and unsolved mysteries etc that I'd be interested in but, yeah, the layout is terrible.
Also, for some reason I associate reddit with MRA's and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure why i do, though. |
