ugh. i'm so disappointed i am not going to the gym today. that looks so nice. nothing beats walking into the gym with your headphones on and just going hard, feeling good, and not giving a damn what anyone thinks.

but i've decided to check out an info session at school for a college. my gpa is high enough that if i were accepted i would get a full ride. it's in mass., though, and i've never considered moving for school (i'm not 18 anymore) and i know i want to move somewhere warmer after i get my master's. that's too much moving for me.

edit: great. now i am talking myself out of it. i have my gym clothes here at work so i can easily do that instead. i can say with certainty i don't want to go to school in massachusetts. but tim says it would be a good networking opportunity (i don't network).

Unless yo soy is consenting to you watching her then you're being a creep that has no place in society. This kind of talk messes with me. I want to believe that no one really cares or notices others in public (I sure don't)

I'm just saying I would go to watch her. Obviously I might ask her permission first. It would be nice if you both went to the same gym actually.

I've been using the AeroPress, too, and eventually developed a "system" for ensuring fairly consistent results.

It began with somewhat arbitrary timers, such as for letting the newly boiled water sit before use, but I've since purchased a little pouring jug with a thermometer sticking out of it and that's taken all the guesswork away. Another move forward was to switch from the paper filters to stainless steel, as the paper is said to keep out some of the good stuff.

Oh man, I would love to believe this. But every time I'm doing something as mundane as walking my dog and notice people turning their heads and gawking at me from their cars as if I'm doing something interesting tells me otherwise.

Like, I put my blinders on and don't scrutinize what others do, but I am clearly in the minority. Most people get their entertainment from other people.

I am always baffled though. Like, I'm wearing a grey sweatshirt and jeans. And my dog is 14+ years old. What is so interesting about us? Why are you looking? What? WHAT?!

Oh man, this is such a thing with me. I wish I lived somewhere in the woods, removed from society (but not too far, I do need groceries).

I realize I am the weird one in this situation, btw. I'm also the only person I know who doesn't have any social media accounts whatsoever.

this.

or at least, that is how i feel. i know i look at other people all the time. not in a creepy way, though - it just never ceases to be interesting to me to watch other people's behavior.

i remember once when i took that myers-briggs test, one of the questions was - in social situations, do you feel like you're more of an observer\bystander than an active participant. as you can guess my answer was the former. i don't see any harm in it, as long as you're not staring too long or invade somebody else's personal space?

I guess, but trust me, I am a relatively uninteresting person to look at (unless I'm in my work clothes). I'm not overweight or hideously deformed or anything. Just a guy. Walking down the street. With his old, slow, stinky dog.

interesting, would that stainless steel filter be custom-made for the aeropress?

those paper filters seem to have a right side to them, but i have to look carefully to figure it out.

But don't you agree that there's a way to watch without being creepy or intrusive about it?

Like, that guy in this thread who wants to watch yo soy work out could do it without making her uncomfortable or aware that she's being watched. Not to sound like a creep, but you can "check someone out" without letting them know you're doing it.

if you guys are sensitive about that shit, don't ever move to china, man.

i'm the laowai blue eyed white guy in the neighbourhood - when i walk by, every time, there will be at least two or three (mostly old) people shamelessly checking me out from top to bottom, and not even break their gaze if i look straight back at them.
