Archie comics are all trendy and shit now

I bought this from the Husky station last week

In it Archie was maliciously trying to dig up dirt on Reggie to use it against him politically in an upcoming election and shit.

I guess I'm getting old. I was reading a "new Archie" from the late 80's and the animation was exactly the same except he had a mullet and the girls had poofy hair. Now it's trying to be all edgy and shit.

New veronica looks pretty hot though

I recently picked up a handful of the "Archie Archie Andrews Where are you" digests from the 70's for 10 bucks. No idea if they have any monetary value as some aren't in the best shape but the contents great.

I like buying old comics to look at a lot of the old adds in them but the old digests have next to none in em and even the 80's/90's ones only have a sparse amount for some reason, but if you buy the generic sized comic book Archies theres a ton of good ones. I love the old Nintendo game adds.

No idea, have literally paid no attention to the new, edgy Archie. I was using the john at a gas-station and as I passed through a new issue caught my eye and I picked it up as I've been on an Archie kick lately.

I like to think that he's just super immature and doesn't wanna grow up, but the whole situation is peculiar

Do your guys' 7-11's still sell magazines or comics? Mine literally got rid of all of their magazines completely and stuck a bunch of potato chips in their spot.

What the hell as that shit?!? Totally ruins any drunk, late-night 7-11 shopping spree where I'd buy pornos and archies.

part of the Archie charm is just the easy availability of the comic. I mean you can usually pick up the ones from the late 80's/early 90's for next to nothing.

And really, what other comic book can you find readily available at any supermarket and gas-station?

To be fair, there's really no comic stores close to where I live. But I've been on kind a collector kick. I also bought some Married with Children and Bill and Ted comics a month back. They're pretty great. The adds are all gold and one of the Married with Children ones came with a fold-out Kelly Bundy poster. I think this may be leading to a full blown hobby, but I'm a serious pack rat so I guess it was bound to happen.
