the classic rock guys don't leave the area around the fender/gibson wall. I imagine if you wanted metal you would have to go deeper into the store to discover the PRSs and Ibanezes and stuff.

Yeah it's metal every time basically

But I went into one the other day and this guy was playing these beautiful jazzy chords. It was refreshing

Then some asshole cranked his gain up and drowned him out

My two local GC's are pretty small. All the guitars are on one wall and the amps and stuff are in islands in the middle.

Also i see most metal being played on gibsons. Seems to be the preferred guitar these days. Don't see anybody giving a toss about ibanezes or jacksons.

Gibson guitars through Orange amps sound pretty great though. I'm not hating.

All the classic rock crusters I see are in the acoustic room. 50+ yr olds catching R&B chords while quietly singing Rolling Stones songs.

They're not even trying out guitars. It's like they're in there performing mini-sets to themselves.

When I bought my discounted and clearance acoustic/electric, the guy at the register gave me an extra $20 off because he said I didn't play it like an asshole while I was waiting for him to finish up with the previous customers.

Was playing moody jazz chords so maybe theres something to that.
