It would be enough to just never have to work again

would probably live modestly in an apartment or something, wouldn't make any crazy purchases

If I won the $415 million jackpot tonight...

Give about a third of it to charity.

Set up immediate family members so they would never have to work again.

Give close friends a couple mil apiece, with two stipulations: don't be stupid with it and don't ask me for anymore (in other words, don't blow it all on crack and hookers, and if you do, don't beg me for more money to spend on crack and hookers).

Buy a house.

Invest some, leave some liquid.

Go to Hawaii for a couple weeks.

Then just live off the interest and play video games for the rest of my life.

Clothes are boring, but I'd buy some jewelry. Most of it for traveling and avoiding jail, though

i'm so ostentatious with my hypothetical lotto winnings!

(and you own those things, sure, just like i own clothes and could easily get a haircut and do my own homework, but imagine being able to buy ANY equipment at guitar center. i don't get your last reactive post and so i can't respond to it without inciting more.)

The guitar I already own is too expensive to be punk

Lots of people win the lottery get addicted to buying stuff and then end up applying for jobs a year later

fuck that so hard

I would buy my high school and the court house and then blow them up! Maybe with all that money I'll develop a stronger sense of pettiness

I've had the same leather jacket for more than 15 years now. I couldn't imagine replacing it, or even owning another. Having too many options paralyses me.

Sometimes we have lottery pools at work and everyone thinks I'm crazy because I tell them I would come back in to work the next day. I mean, I would at least finish out the week while I thought about my newly acquired fortune. I am a creature of habit and what else would I do?

Fools rush in

Yeah I freeze when I have too many options, too. Even over unimportant things like shampoo brands. I am the personification of the phrase head in the clouds, though...so i dream about winning the lottery a lot so I can get by in life easier without paying as much attention to anything but what I find important. I'll never grow out of idealism, it looks like.

ugh, relics are just the dumbest fucking thing going on in the guitar world.
i absolutely don't get why people drool over 10,000$ brand new guitars (or however much they cost) that somebody fucked up in the factory to have it look like an exact replica of clapton's playing wear and sweat on it.

i wasn't really talking about "relic'd" guitars - i was thinking of real super rare old models or something

but yea those relic models are pretty dumb

I watched some show on how Fender guitars are made once, and they literally had two fellows pulling guitars off the assembly line and randomly striking them with objects from a box of junk to make them "vintage"

I'd buy an island and set up a modest compound/bungalow. Pay off my girlfriend's, sister's and ex-wife's debt. Give a few million to my best friend so he wouldn't have to work if he didn't want to. I would spend the rest of my life having sex with my girlfriend, traveling, going to any concert anywhere and raising dogs.

And I would drink beer. Lots and lots of beer. And I'd have a boat.

i hear there's one distinguished individual up at the fender factory who has very special ear gunk with tons of "mojo". they pay him muchos dineros to abundantly smear it over fretboards, and according to some Guitar Center Stairway To Heaven experts (who can play a LOT of blues licks) it gives the guitar a "moldy chimy-ness".
