i always have my most vivid dreams in the morning when my body is waking and my brain is all, like, 'no way. you stay here and just dream that you're awake'

a few mornings ago i dreamed i was sitting at the coffee table and tim served me soup for breakfast but it turned out to be green salsa. THEN i bolted awake because EW.

I do the same thing. It's called liminal dreaming.

I set an alarm 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 15 minutes from my real alarm, in order to accelerate this state.

oh yeah my dumb self didn't even remember how it ended. There were sirens and shit blaring and blaring everywhere, plus the roar of the explosion/fire was deafening. I woke up and my alarm had been going off for 40 minutes.

recently i had a dream where i was in my old childhood home.
it was my favorite house in the world, i grew up in it until around age 23, and then my parents sold it to buy a soul crushing manufactured condo in some duplicated marble tower.
i still dream about it a lot.

in this instance, i was there with a friend or something, and in the living room stood this large fish tank (which we never had, of course). it sort of feels like a party and i spend the night trying to get laid, until suddenly there's a loud and sharp POOF - i look over to the fish tank, and the water's slowly turning red. i realize somebody had left the heating on in the fish tank by mistake. the fish are swelling up more and more until they explode. there's blood coming out of them. i don't know how well i'm articulating it, but the sight of slowly swimming, bleeding, blown up fish, with that natural blank expression fish have, was fairly harrowing.

anyway, the first bang was only one of them, but they are all at various stages of swelling, about to blow up too.
i keep thinking to myself, 'what a horrible way to go'.

Wow that's disturbing, wonder if it has to do with the animal cruelty you've seen in teh SinolandZ

Anyone F with lucid dream states? I was doing the "am I dreaming" test throughout the day and was getting some good ones going. Hardest part is keeping it stable when you go lucid. They say looking at your hands works sometimes, also spinning in circles. Sometimes I'll climb a stair or open a door to another area, but there's nothing there yet, and that wakes me up

looking at my hand works fairly well for me (though that has failed sometimes, oddly) but i find it very hard to keep it stable once i realize i'm aware i'm dreaming. it's very exciting, and you're like "ok so what do i want to do?" but then you just wake up.

what do you guys do when you realize you're dreaming? need inspiration

night before last, i dreamed that a guy who resigned from my team maybe 9 months ago returned and wanted to fight me

last night i had 2 dreams, first one i was doing a lot of freestyle rapping
second one i was living in a caveman era and was sprinting across the land with my dog and we were hunting stuff

3 pretty great dreams in a row

i had a dream where I had 4 different test pressings of my band's upcoming LP

disclaimer: something went wrong with the pressing and the TP is delayed one week - for some reason that sent my subconscious into something a bit more extreme
