Independence Day 2 is going to be the worst film of the year
I'm already predicting it. It's going to be even worse than Batman vs. Superman. Jesse Eisenberg chewing scenery as Lex is going to be nothing compared to Jeff Goldlbum chewing scenery in this film. Jeff Goldblum doesn't even care anymore. He'll do anything. He just does films at this point probably to keep himself busy. He's like the Jewish Samuel Jackson.

i have no problem with jesse eisenberg, would probably even say i like him (at least before BvS i did.) he just should never, ever have been cast as lex luthor. i thought to myself "they'll make it work somehow. it's not like he was cast at random, right?" when i stepped into the theater for BvS, i wasn't prepared for what i was about to see: one of the most embarrassing performances in a film i've ever been subjected to. i might even go as far as to say THE most.

trailer looked fucking awful the 4 times I watched it before Star Wars. Too much CGI. Wonder if the aliens have upgrade from Windows 95 yet? Probably switched over to Macs. The humans will never be able to hack us now! Bwahahahaha!

I heard something about that which changed my view of how dumb that actually was.
So what I heard was when we found the first crashed ship, it secretly became the basis for our technological advances in computers. So we built operating systems from what we scraped from the original ship before it deactivated. But this considerable plot point was cut in editing for time constraint purposes. Why explain it when it was supposed to be a dumb summer blockbuster? |

Independence Day is a pinnacle of mindless action flicks. It doesn't make any sense and does nothing original at all, but it's just awesome, if I may unleash my inner fuzzyroes for a moment.

Yeah, good. Got a new job managing a restaurant in the city, monday to friday and salary which is pretty amazing in my line of work. Hitting the studio soon to track the first single for my new band. Things are turning around for me.
