In any just world Carolina should be able to beat the Broncos by double digits easily, but the spreads only -5.5...

My prediction is it'll be some sensational, fixed game that comes down to a field-goal

If you're going to the Halftime show, make sure to snap a few photos of the crisis actors from the San Bernadino shootings for me.

a week ago Black Lives Matter blocked the Bay Bridge at rush hour. I hope they do it again on Superbowl Sunday!

It's gonna be a brutal slaughter, but I'm still dreaming of Manning's last-game SuperBowl win.

Craziest con-theory I heard about the last time Manning and the Broncs were in the SB was that the ventilation in their locker room was compromised and filtered with something that made them all lethargic (the game with the bad snap and safety on the first play).

mehhhhh...I'd sooner believe someone might use those psychotronic gadgets they got to fuck up a player at a key moment in a game.

I was telling my folks to rent out their pads or rooms for a $1000 a night. That seems to be the going rate.

The Fairmont in the city has a $1,000,000 package for 22 people. If y'all got a spare $50,000 or so to spend, lets make this SB a Netphorian freak show.

That's how it should go down, but the fact that the spread opened at -3.5 tells me that it's not going to go down that way. Super Bowls are rarely blowouts. I think Panthers win by a field goal.

It'll be a blowout. Not as bad as the last time Peypey got utterly blown out and depleted anally by Seattle. But bad.

It's not gonna be a blowout. Denver's defense is the real deal and is going to keep this game closer than people expect. Plus, plan on Denver playing their hearts out with the hope that they can help give Peyton Manning that elusive second Super Bowl ring and send him off into retirement in style. In the end, however, I still trust Carolina's offense more than Denver's. If Manning looked like the Manning from even a season ago I'd have picked Denver in lopsided victory, but that ain't the case.

27-24, T'Challas

I dunno man...that Denver D is the great equalizer. and they may get the edge with...

Manning going full tilt on whatever he can do to make himself feel 25 again. It's his last game in all likelihood. Cortizone, HGH, Creatine, Caffeine, Ginseng...what-ever the fuck it takes, he's all in next Sunday.

He has no feeling in his fingertips. His arm does not have the strength it did. And Carolina's defense ain't shabby either.

Guys got total dead arm right now. If he gives it max effort he tops out at about 15 yards.

But as TOC mentioned, he'll likely do anything he can for that one game and cortisone shots can be really effective in short-period spurts. So if he hasn't had one in awhile it could work wonders.

NFL needs Superbowls to be at least somewhat exciting though. Theres huge advertising dollars in play so they can't have some blowout that people tune out of half way through . Very rarely do you see blowouts like the Seattle/Denver SB a few years back. So if Carolina does start running away with it you'll see the refs do everything in their power to keep Denver within striking distance

yeah. That Panther D has been pretty stout for a few years now. I guess Cam and the O finally caught up this year?

No feelings in his fingertips? hmmmm...looks like Peyton may have to go seek a witch doctor to reverse that.

Fuzzy,

there's a lot to be said about the NFL wanting to keep the game close. But this year's money for Ads is already in, so I guess 2nd half ratings (if low because of a blowout) might determine ad-rates for next year?

Or might they have reimbursement contracts for this years game?

I dunno, but once upon a time the Super Bowl was nothing but blowouts for the most part. That seemed to change a decade ago or so. Easy enough to check that out once I get the time.
