I'm glad for bill. It seems he's been incapable of subverting his own poisonous ego for many many years. Now, that has to change. Because he simply can't be a Father and continue to get away with it.

Of course he could blow it off like many do, and continue to live as a child. But I suspect he's just sensitive enough to his own guilt that he will step up and refuse to take the lazy way out.

And if we do get any more music out of him, maybe just maybe it will be a bit more mature/interesting.

Honestly, I think the best child I've ever made I haven't released. It's sitting in a can at home. I made this child and I thought the child was amazing, and then I went on like an idiot the next day and read what the fans were writing and they said "can he just please pick up an electric guitar again?" And I said ok, and I put the child back in the can and it's sitting there to this day. People who've seen it say it's one of the most beautiful children I've ever made. It's just sitting there.

One person is valued for youth and one is valued for social status. It's a fair trade, otherwise you wouldn't see old rich men and young attractive women make the trade. Everyone wins.

I disagree. I think everyone learned something in this thread, and the disagreements were, for the most part, remarkably reasonable and well-stated.

I don't think this "welcome to netphoria, everything here is shit" attitude is justified. I feel many threads get better as they go along. And I also happen to like the surreal and good-naturedly mean-spirited way many of the lesser threads sputter out.

This is really a great forum. I really can't understand why so many have chosen to abandon it recently. Where the fuck else can you find such depth of pumpkins related knowledge?
