I've discussed this in detail with several bio/polymer chemists and we can only conceive of one highly unlikely way in which non-natural DNA could harm a person, and that is if the organism being modified ends up producing harmful byproducts as a result of its altered coding, but there's absolutely no evidence to support this hypothesis.
