Default parents kissing their kids on the mouth

i know some cultures do it and some don't and it's not sexual but it makes my spine tingle

do any of you kiss your kids on the mouth, or were kissed by your parents that way? interested. in my family we were kiss on the cheek people. in fact i sort of remember trying to kiss my mom on the mouth and her saying that we don't kiss like that or something. but im not sure about that memory, could have been a dream or who the fuck knows. or maybe it was real and thats why it makes my spine tingle?

anyway, the question, fellas.

seems to me more of a cultural thing.. some rabbis suck the blood out of infants circumsiced peni so.. kissing on the mouth is kinda tame imo

ive personally never had a problem with it or witnessing people doing it with their kids. #lipkissesforall... i guess?

i don't have kids but my dad doesn't kiss me on the mouth or not really at all. he kisses the air above my head since i hit puberty. just as well cuz i hate beards. my mom though, she will try to go for it but i DO NOT LIKE IT. when i have kids i'll probably just kiss their face after puberty, but not mouth.

Yep, but they're filipino though so maybe it's cultural.

our family now is a little weird about hugging; hard to describe but we give mostly half hugs as we come or go from the parents' house (the hub of familial activity). and i don't hug my brothers, just my sister and parents.

Mine too! I grab my dad and hug the hell out of him.

Why do you have to sexualize every single thing, reprise? Maybe you're just too sensitive about this?

i sometimes do but usually they have to initiate it, and it's mostly with women. with guys, we do the handshake and sometimes handshake/halfhug combo

One of my kids has never voluntarily kissed me, the other would probably use his tongue if I didn't cut him off. He also rubs his face on any part of my body that's close to him. He's close to being legally blind and didn't get spectacles until he was three though. So touch is huge for him - the first few years he couldn't see more than a metre in front of him so if he couldn't touch me he didn't know where I was. Because we had no family living near by he never became used to other carers so he is very strongly attached to me. He kisses me on the lips.

I kiss my parents on the lips.

It does weird me out a bit though, at the same time.

It's hard when you see that bro you hug more often than once every couple months. Then you're not sure if you should go in for the hug or just be like "Hey."

Actually it's because they can't shake your hand because you're a woman.

Kiss on both cheeks in my family, and well....pretty much the whole province. French heritage and all i suppose. Thing is i was an adult when i realised you didn't really have to kiss cheeks, just basically kiss the air next to it...i prefer doing that now..

I remember really hating having to kiss my grandma on the cheeks cause she'd have powder and makeup and stuff. And as a teen i felt super self conscious about people having to do it to me cause i had fairly bad acne......... ::shudders::
