lets put it this way, cutler would be an upgrade

by the way donovan mcnabb went to like four straight nfc championship games and he's definitely not a hall of famer

eli manning has won two super bowls even!

I don't think he cares about trying hard. I read something abouy he doesn't audible out of bad plays. He just does it as a job now and collects his paycheck.

Well consider my hat eaten. Ohio St. is going to get beat down by Oregon

Lane Kiffin forgot to ******* "spike ball" in his playbook. Alabama should have had about 3-4 more plays on that last drive

They also should have run the damn ball on that drive from the 21.

I'm still in second in my pool despite having lost my two most confident games. Derp. My anti small conference and anti big ten biases have bitten me big time.

Oregon/FSU was the most satisfying non-ND game I have ever watched. Ever.

The SEC West was vastly overrated. Par the course.

Well the only comfort to take is that they did always win. So other than the bama lsu rematch at least someone got a shot.

We will be at 8 teams before too long (5-10 years?)

New Years day was goddamn awesome. Imagine doubling it.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Even granting that the Mississippi schools were pretty overrated, LSU and Auburn underperformed, and that Alabama was slightly down this year - I still don't see how the overall strength of the division can be denied for this year, much less for years past.

The bottom 4 teams in the SECW were Arkansas, A&M, LSU, and Auburn. How many teams in the playoff could have replaced their 4 weakest conference division rivals with those 4 SECW teams and came through unscathed? I mean, I know you've been beating your head against the wall with this "SEC is overrated" stuff for years and years now, and eventually you were gonna get lucky and a down year would happen, but still I don't think we're all the way there yet.

That said, if the SEC doesn't get away from poor QB play overall and the recent shift to more finesse-based offense, then it won't be long before other conferences do catch up. Part of me is afraid that the early success of Missouri and A&M will end up diluting the brand a bit.

What a yawner. OSU Sucked their first drive, but then it should have been 28-7 first half if they didn't have four TOs. Much beastlier athletes playing for Buckeyes

I knew Elliott was gonna be a problem and that Jones would be unstoppable on third and fourth and short.

I did not know oregon's offense would struggle like that. Those first half drops were killers.

That game was so painful. The most painful Oregon game I've watched was the 2007 Arizona game when Dennis Dixon got hurt, then the Boise State game in which LaGarret Blount punched that guy at the end. Next most painful was Oregon at Stanford last year. But this one tops them all. Oh god...

It hurt because this was easily our best chance at a natty and probably will be for the next several decades. We just had to go and take it. Too many mistakes. How you can win the turnover margin by four.

Knowing that Ohio State was going to run Elliott everytime and we simply could not stop it.

Giving them a freebie on that last fourth and whatever by going offsides was the final knife in the heart. And then Mariotta had to end his Oregon career on an interception. Oh my...

Seriously. It. Was. There. For. The. Taking.

Must have hurt. More than ND losing to Bama. Although what Elliott did to Oregon was reminiscent of what Lacy did to ND. You knew they were gonna get yards but not THAT many.

Goddamn. I'd planned on going to a nice dinner already and everything.

I don't share your pessimism about oregon's future though. Top 5-10 program yearly I'd bet. They will get another shot before too long.

Not as painful as Colt McCoy getting injured against Bama
