And yes, I felt for you yesterday. No one expected Notre Dame to get blown out by USC like that. Not sure what went wrong this year.

Really, really want Oregon to play Alabama. I've been wanting to see that game for years now...

My dream scenario is for Alabama to lose in the SEC championship and get the SEC shut out of the playoff. Oh how I would rejoice.

Although what I don't like about that scenario is that Oregon doesn't get to beat Florida State. In fact, to be fair, Oregon winning the title by humiliating Florida State and edging out Alabama would be beautiful. And, my god, to do it with the Heisman winner... I think I would just stop being a fan. There could simply be no better season possible.

What a complete joke.

TCU wins by 50, loses 3 spots. Jeff Lng's flat-out lying to defend this bullshit.

they shouldn't have done the weekly rankings. total nonsense.

FSU and OSU each lose by at least two touchdowns.

Agreed on the first, not on the second. The losses will be larger.

Michigan reportedly reached out to Jim Harbaugh and surprise surprise, he's not interested in going back to college football, though I doubt his sanity if he truly does believe coaching for the Raiders (currently his rumored destination after this season) is a better job.

sometimes it's not really about a "better job" though, right? it's a new challenge, and i can't think of many harder challenges in the NFL than coaching Oakland into the playoffs.

i'm so glad to see kapernick being exposed. i was so fucking sick of people acting like that guy was good because a good defense got him further than he should have gone

he'll be out of the NFL by 2016

ND still hasn't had a meaningful win since 1993. Unless you count Oklahoma and Stanford in 2012 and that's iffy.

I don't know about out of the NFL but yeah, incredibly overrated. I don't think Harbaugh even gives a shit about making him better at this point.

either choice was mediocre, but alex smith is the more dependable kind of average

the option QB experiment in the NFL is hopefully finally dead

I recall saying I didn't think he was bad. I haven't been paying attention this year. But I'll contend that you don't generally get to three straight conference championship games with a shitty QB.

But again I haven't seen him at all this year so I won't try to speak to his general ability.

I'd also say one bad year doesn't necessarily indicate what a career trajectory will be. The question I would ask is who could the niners get instead. That's what I ask of bear fans bitching about cutler. Where are you gonna go?

I can't remember if I said this here or not, but I am giving serious consideration to no longer watching football if Oregon wins the championship this year. There will simply be no better season (Pac-12, Heisman, NC) and it will save me a lot of time over the next 40 years.
