I had missed this match too. by the time i realized smackdown was on, it was too late. It was right during the a train/ new black dude match. That new guy busted alot of rock-esqe moves.

i know, and that was a fucking sin. at least it wasn't a clean win. i dunno how i feel about cena fueding with undertaker (i guess taker wants to give cena "the rub" before his star rises too high). much like stonecold back in the day and the most recent run of the rock, cena is so cool as a heel that people refuse to boo him. cena should have been the first u.s. champ in the wwe, and i'll be very pissed if he isn't the second (i'll forgive this if he gets a wwe title reign in the next 6 months). as for the tournament itself, wwe needs to get their shit together and make up some brackets. sloppiest tournament EVAR: they haven't so much as told us which, or even how many, people are in the damn thing.

billy gunn is a mediocre talent at best. but it's not all about workrate and i've enjoyed some of his work, but the last few angles he's been in have been duds, and this one doesn't seem to be any better. what the fuck? so he and torrie wilson have bonded over their mutual affection for nicely shaped buttocks? apparently everyone has forgotten that the last time billy gunn had a chance with torrie he picked chuck instead (except cena, and he burned gunn bad). i really hope he doesn't win the tournament.

kinda off topic, but zack gowan's in ring debut rocked despite the inclusion of big show (who's been on a good streak as of late) and stephanie mcmahon (who's as annoying as ever). i was a skeptical about the whole thing when they said z was only training for a few weeks, but they let him do some of his cool spots anyway (could anyone possibly belive a one-legged man can learn to get whipped off ringropes, and do dropkicks and moonsaults in a couple of weeks? gg wwe.). i didn't think it was as good on the whole as his nwa match against road dogg (it's on kazaa, if anyone's interested look for "tenacious z vs. bg james"), but it played out nicely nonetheless. here's hoping they abondon the idea of him wrestling with his prosthesis (he's better without) and give him some more professional-looking attire.
