it doesn't inherently change anything, it happens in many arenas in life and like always it gets pretty embarrassing when women try to imitate male ethos ala "put another notch in my lipstick case"

especially if much of the appeal of rock music is id sublimation and for women it's this whole masculine persona. doesn't exactly have the same frankness

It's not so much about SP's politics as it is that Corgan is like how you mentioned before the closest thing America has produced to Morrissey. There's just that high level of androgyny.

If you're a Republican and you like any of those bands you're just missing the point of them.
