Every time some atheist prick tries to disprove the existence of god with
the argument like "if god really does love us why does he let bad things happen to goods people why huh" and its like man fuck you if you were an all powerful being who could simultaneously observe and communicate with all sentient life your idea of what constitutes good and bad would be fuckin RADICALLy different to the perspective of a single human whos primary concern is keeping themselves and those in their genetic branch based on some kind of genetic imperative that you probably created. That person might have prescribedd the rules your morality is based on butu expecting them to live by that is crazyh people talk

I love how angry deists get when someone has the nerve to not accept their beliefs. But then at the same time they think it's perfectly OK to tell other people that that their view of the world is completely bogus.

I just find it funny how people give this argument like it's brand new and how the question of suffering and evil and everything else hadn't been debated since the birth of Christianity (and before, of course) and a set of Christian apologetics already established regarding it that people don't bother to seriously look into.

Last year I watched tons of 70's rapture movies and without exception in every single one of them there is a scene where the movie basically stops and they have long heart to heart discussion trying to explain this away and they fail to do it in every single time.
It always boils down to, if you have faith you won't ask questions, now go be a good person and stop thinking, thinking will leave you LEFT BEHIND. Pretty much 10-15 minutes of that in every film. |
