1) If you thought Miami's supporting cast was bad, the Cavs were much worse. Reloaded chicago with either Pau or Love or Anthony. Basically if they get a good offensive player for PF/SF they would be the presumptive favorite because their supporting cast is absolutely great and noah possibly should have been MVP last year. DPOY will do. Don't sleep on chicago, they have a very good team. It hinges on what kind of player rose will be after the last two years.

2) I don't think this happens. He does not fit, and there are no minutes for him. Bringing on gasol would mean benching splitter and reducing both his and diaws time. Diaw is fucking incredible and needs to play 30+ mins a game and Splitter really came into his own last year, providing brilliant defense, a surprising degree of passing ability, a consistent touch on offense when he was fed the ball on a P&R (previous years had him fumbling the pass or the dribble, so much improved there), and what impresses me about Splitty is that he's a real good FT shooter for a big man with average to below average offensive skills.

for the extra minutes left over, i don't think jeff ayres is very good but Aron Baynes is interesting, he seems to have a lot of strength. Rather get him more PT. My home boy Matt Bonner's contract is up but after spending so long on this team with a small skill set makes me think he's our Udonis Haslem, basically a franchise guy that will work for spurs after his playing career is over. We also have Austin Daye who is kind of a Bonner replacement, not sure if his contract is up. Plus, I don't even know how many guys we have stashed overseas, when you look through the international prospects that have made it, it's shocking how many were drafted by spurs and did not play for spurs. leandro barbosa, luis scola, goran dragic, just off the top of my head

Cleveland very well might get Love though, their front court would be obscenely talented.

The Cavs are better off keeping Wiggins than trading for Love

Of course the Wolves are being run by Flip Saunders who I don't trust to not insist on Wiggins

i completely disagree that they would be better off

i do agree that minnesota will probably get their collective dicks fed to them on any love trade

i'm not sure what all the fuss is about bosh tbh, he's got some defensive skills but he's slender so he gets banged around. he was a 20&10 guy in the great white north but he's like rebounding at 7-6 boards a game with the heat. i mean it's possible that's Lebron's impact on his statline so it'll be interesting to see if he becomes a first option and gets more boards next year. i mean he's got to be the first option at this point

so far the heat are
C Catfish Bosh
PF McBob
SF Danny Granger LOL
SG Ray Allen LOLOL
PG Mario "Piece of Shit" Chalmers
6 Norris Cole
7 Birdman
8 The mascot i guess

Wiggins is a potential lock down defender and who knows his offensive ceiling
Love is an ole defender who blows plays constantly because he's obsessed with his rebounding numbers
It would be fun as hell to see him throwing those full court outlet passes to LeBron though

assuming they keep thompson. if i was flip i'd be like "Thompson and Wiggins for Love or fuck you in the goat ass."

bennett is possibly a bad player/bust but he did come on in the last couple months

varejao i'm just like, come on. whatever. i mean he's been hurt all the time right? isn't his contract up? doesn't he suck? I don't recall, i remember he went all joakim noah beast mode for a couple weeks two years ago and then practically died so i dunno what the deal is with that guy

CJ Miles is probably going to be a real good 6

cavs are so far
PG Kyrie Irving
SG Wiggins
SF BRON
PF Thompson
C Varejao?
6 CJ Miles
7 Dion Waiters
8 Bennett
9 fuck i dunno

Wiggins could still be a bust, Love is an established franchise player.

Boris Diaw used to blow plays also when he played for the fucking bobcats

Andy V is in beast mode at all times, but he's going to break down every year and it isn't even a question
It sucks
The Cavs should trade him if anyone will go for it but he just got a special shoutout from LBJ so they probably can't

Love is established as not a franchise player yet
His teams have either sucked or underachieved
But I mean yeah sure he'd be an unbelievable second banana
But what are they putting around them
That's gonna be such a bad defensive team except for LeBron and 20 games of Andy

his team does suck it always sucked

it's a developing squad in a loaded western conference

they would have made the playoffs in the east

you have weird metrics

he's 20 & 10 and has three point range what the fuck do you need

He's 26 & 14
I acknowledge his talents, but he's a douchebag and a net negative defender
I'll be honest it's probably mostly the douchebag part

probably

you can hide bad big defenders when you pair them with a bad ass defender in the front court

when dallas won it was Chandler/Dirk
the clips run with Griffin/Jordan
bynum/gasol
i know there are other examples but they aren't springing immediately to mind

getting lots of defensive boards is a form of defense though. honestly, when you think about it.

still not sure exactly why he's such a douche to you

Lots of folks around here think the Warriors are better off keeping Klay Thompson and not dealing him for Love.

I'm a bit on the fence but I think overall Love would improve their chances of winning it all. They'll be tough either way.

sorry man, daryl morey needs to be fired. the entire point guard situation is a making of catastrophic idiocy. when it occured i was like "how the fuck do you give up both lowry and dragic" last year they both scored 20ppg and one of them propelled a pretty meh franchise to the 3 seed in the east and to be honest dragic proplled a much much better team to the 9th place in the west. they'd have completely humiliated brooklyn i have no doubt

he needs to be fired over it, you guys should carry that torch. my niggas are geniuses

it's almost as if the offseason is making the spurs victory sweeter

somebody tell me there's another fan base in all of professional sports who have anything like this occur. we have taken your shit for over a decade and now the spurs are completely ascendant. not only are they an anomaly, the are a model of how to win in sports. they always were and pretty much everyone outside of central and south texas just fucking LAUGHED.
