with Belt back and Pence now leading off, it seems the Gmen have stemmed the tide of .350 baseball for now. 4 gamer against the A's starting tomorrow, 2 in each park. series is 50-46 in favor of Oakland. they often split series. This is probably the most important one they've ever had though.

Perhaps worth betting the dog each game with juice money if you got it, but I wouldn't blame a guy for riding the A's and hope they take at least 3. too bad Samardzija and Lincecum won't sqare off (they each pitched well today).

Whatta ya think about San Frans chances tomorrow TOC? I personally don't have much respect for Vogalsongs "stuff". The A's should be able to pick him apart. But the A's are at -150 right now and Chavez has seemingly come back down to earth and his been roughed up during his last 2 starts... I'm considering laying some money on the A's.

That's why I mentioned going with the Dog each game. I would think the G's would still be favored at home once they get there (1st two in Oakland).


Vogie and Lincecum have turned it around recently. Vogelsong always battles, but I can see a pen dominated game because of how the A's take AB's (emphasis on raising pitch counts).

at that point, it tilts to the A's. G's pen has been shaky recently (Romo demoted from Closer role) after being the best pen going first 2 months.

with that run differential, everyone has woken up to the A's this year. thing about the Giants is that this team resembles the two teams that won it all recently. They either play near-perfect ball and look like world beaters, or they can't do shit and lose a 9 1/2 game lead in 3 weeks.

I'm kinda wondering which G's team shows up tonight. I'd bet on the former because of the rivalry, but that doesn't mean they get over on them. I'm guessing 5-4 A's tonight.


but the betting route I would take would be the Dogs with 'house money', or roll with the A's each game. thats a little dangerous because the I think the Giants bottomed out a few games ago and this series may be what they need to play well again.

I'd forgotten one of our beloved fatties Pablo Sandoval has been out the last two games. Basically nullifies Belt's return as the G's have a weak hitting bench. Vogie pitched well, but the A's did plug away at the relievers.

with Pablo out, the play is A's this series. Even if he comes back, the Pagan factor still in effect.

and fuzzy, one of the clues to the G's playing well this series is defense and specifically Brandon Crawford. He can play brilliantly for stretches and then...two bad throwing errors tonight, trying to do too much. not a good sign. He often lifts the team with great D, so when its going the other way...blah.
