it's amazing to see the progress the usa has made in terms of involvement and standing internationally. i've been following the mls for the last year and the pace of expansion and growth in popularity seems to be increasing. did anyone else see thierry henry's comments about the quality of play in mls?

i'm going to follow MLS here soon, i just wish there was a san antonio team i can't root for dallas i guess i'll go with the ironically soviet named houston dynamo

dynamo or dinamo are eastern block teams associated with the state police, Dynamo Moscow being the originator. There's also dinamo zagreb, dinamo bucharest, dynamo kyiv, dynamo dresden, and others.

yeah i just made that connection recently. i'm not much of a houston fan. i think the san antonio scorpions have a decent chance of being promoted to mls in the next couple of years.

i root for dallas even though they used to be chicago fire rivals. ****** is from dallas, but blas perez (panama's national team captain) is also on fc dallas. and we have the same last name so it's doubly good.

i'm always like fuck dallas in all sports. i was just about to root for the texas rangers then they had GW throw out the first pitch of WS game in dallas and i was glad they lost

can't blame you. aside from the aforementioned "connections" i have to dallas and the team, i wouldn't have any reason to pull for them. i just decided to follow mls and was like "hm what teams should i like" and then i did.

the pacific northwest derby is apparently some real shit. had a friend watch the timbers play the sounders while he lived in seattle and he said it was the best sports related experience of his life.

and yeah, i'm totally gonna rep Orlando City once they're in the MLS. They have a pretty devoted following even for an MLS team, and i'll occasionally get to see guys like donavan and dempsey in the flesh. it will be exciting.

yeah the timbers are pretty slick. of the three cascadia teams they're my favorite, and i really don't like the sounders. they seem to have a bit of an inflated ego just cause they regularly draw twice as many fans to every game. they think they're all that b/c they have a downtown stadium and a devoted fanbase.
