I think USA hockey is on par at the talent level (for these two teams, Canada could have 3 more teams worthy of getting a gold), but there's clearly a little brother complex going on in the head of the U.S.

I honestly had no idea gypped came from gypsy until I just looked it up. It's not exactly a common expression, is it? I don't think I have ever seen it written out before. It had never occurred to me that it was anything but a slang term.

I actually heard someone use it today. One of my administrators said the county was gypping us out of some test time at a staff meeting. Is this term used all the time and I have just never picked up on it? The only other instance I can think of heaving heard it is in the Weird Al song in which Santa slaughters all the elves in a fit psycopathic rage, it's because he, "broke his back for some milk and cookies, realized he was kind of gettin' gypped."

Sucks we lost, but glad I no longer am put into the uncomfortable position of having to cheer for Phil Kessel. I hope Canada gets whooped in the final as if they're not going to play Marty St. Louis I have no use for them.

I'd wager that girl doesn't know what a gypsie is and is using it as a verb without knowing any connotation. I don't think we ever in school talked about gypsies.

we have a reminiscence festival right now by the store i work in, and my manager told us to look out for gypsies trying to swindle us. i tried hard to not facepalm but i think i did anyway.
