Hitting a 7-year-old was a low point but there are so many, no idea how you guys can pick out just one.

How long ago was that? What were the circumstances?

I was living with my serious gf at the time. Could not find a job for the life of me, couldn't even get a job at a retail store. This caused huge tension and trouble in the relationship and it boiled over to me breaking up with her in July, going home for what was to be a couple of days to cool off and ultimately I decided I didn't want to end it. She had other plans and did want to end it. Tried for a few months to get back together and moved back home to let her have her space at our apartment all the while helping pay all the bills. She kept stringing me along for basically that reason until she out of nowhere to me started dating someone whom until that point I had considered a friend. That crushed me. I was on the lease so I had to keep paying my rent until the end the lease which made it hurt all the more. They eventually got married.

I had a job though which was nice. But I was living at home and it was in a field I had no desire to be in. I eventually got laid off from that job in early 2011 but quickly wound up in another job in the same field since I had license and what not but I had absolutely no desire to be working there or doing that work. I was miserable at the job and eventually got laid off from that job in July bringing me full circle to the year before. So that was not a fun 12 months.

Went to Alaska for a couple of weeks after that at the end of July and when I got back I had unemployment to refresh myself with before grabbing a new job and getting a place to start 2012. 2012 was probably one of my favorite years of life thus far so that was a nice rebound year that I needed.
got in one little fight and my mom got scared. she said "you're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel-air"

Ages ago, I was 17. Yet I never forgot it, guilty conscience or something.

I was her "babysitter", picking her up etc. We were at their indoor pool and she kept asking about my belly piercing. I explained it all to her, how it's done, if it hurts, blabla. Then she went "can I touch it" I said sure, just don't twist it.

Her little hand moves forward, and with one grab she rips it out. The whole thing, straight, skin and all. I slapped her within a second. Yea. Low point.

Only the house had some electric but nothing really besides lights, a fridge, and a radio to play npr. No running water. That's the true roughing it way of life especially there where it gets so cold and dark in the winter.

But that farm was basically just our base. Drove all around the state. Worked our way down to Valdez and back and then to some other places as well stopping at any given mountain along the way that looked like fun to climb/hike and camping out on it. That whole state is absolutely gorgeous. So devoid of people too. Fairbanks is the second largest "city" in the state and it was a just a large spread out town with hardly anyone filling it except for the eskimos/natives stumbling around drunk 24/7 on the sidewalks. You get out of there and you don't see anyone except for Denali and other extremely rare towns.
I've been to Anchorage and Nome... have some family in Nome. I didn't like the vibe in Anchorage. I'm liking the looks of Juneau... it's a tourist town, small, you can't just drive in... it has mountains, snow, and water. I kind of want to be alone, yet I don't. The past four years has proven to be a test for me. I found out that I definitely don't want to go back to Ca again. I need to be where things move slower. I like how winter does that up here, but the summers are still calm enough to enjoy with minimal tourism.

Denali is incredible.

God... I think for you it was just reflex but I would feel bad too. But ouch for you! When I babysat, I was instructed that the kids would have time outs in their rooms, so I followed that. Except my little 5 year-old girl freaked out completely and I had no idea why and then it turned out that she wouldn't stop screaming because she was mortified I had closed the door behind me (so she was alone in her room). Turns out she was really scared of that, like I could see the panic on her face... She'd gotten time out for something not incredibly serious either so I gave her a million hugs/kisses and we are friends again but the memory kinda haunts me.

My lowest low was probably at 19, got me to cut ties with literally all of my friends and move out of the continent. I'm really good at detachment now and I'm somewhat thankful I had my stupid meltdown sooner than later.

Denali is incredible.

Juneau looks interesting, so far south though.

Denali Park is incredible. When I was there it was almost always cloudy and overcast so I didn't get to see the full view of the actual mountain it's peaks were cut off.

Just checking what I have up in my photobucket account here's two pics of me as my buddy and I were working our way up mountains in Denali Park.

Then here are two cool pics of my friend that I took working our way up a mountain there.

Pretty much all of those mountains had one side that was just really steep gravel. Those were funnest ways down. Just run and jump and you'd be like surfing down the mountain.

be 11
have neighborhood friend who is also 11
friend's parents have pop-up camper thing in their backyard
friend and i start to hang out in the camper for fun
talk about girls sometimes
talk about girls a lot
talking about girls leads to talking about sex
talking about sex eventually leads to jerking off together
jerking off together eventually leads to spending the rest of the summer giving each other blowjobs in this camper in the parents' back yard
that in itself isn't such a low point
except for the fact
that i never came

i'll be frank with you slunk, this woman i work with brought in her two friends talking about how amazing they are and they're so great and smart and qualified and what we got was
  • SHit talking drama queen that's actually competent. it's almost worse than the useless kind because you can just fire those
  • usless crybaby that can't think, type, or talk. like she's more useless than i am at social interaction. i think the english phrase is "wet" but we americans have a different definition for that...

i came to find out she had never met either in person and they were her wow buddies

so dude from netphoria wouldn't really be that bad
