like, 3/5 isn't a compromise. at all.

we'd like our subhuman negro servants to be counted in the census. also, they shouldn't be allowed to vote.

my biggest problem with the thing was when ken tried to define "literally" as "naturally" towards the end. i was like hold up son what.

it was fun watching good-natured bow tie smiles man suddenly pounce on ken ham during the rebuttals stage.

i think the entire room got chills when it happened - when it suddenly turned aggressive

also everybody laffed at kens jokes but not at bills yet bill got the biggest applause?

i mean did anyone on earth really settle into this thing expecting absolutely groundbreaking results?

you cannot argue with faith. you just can't.

the sad part to me is that someone like ken is trying to define an absolute timetable of earth based off of the bible and honestly that's just ridiculous - god or no god.

a big problem is that people conflate two very distinct definitions of "faith". There's believing something will happen because that is consistent with evidence (this chair will support my weight because chairs are designed for that purpose, also i am not fat), and there's beliving something in spite of the lack of evidence (belief in god).

the creationists equate the acceptance of scientific theories to a belief in god, and they just aren't the same. at all. in any capacity.
