That's not hard to believe. There are maybe four people at my former high school who would even know who performed the song if they heard it, let alone what it was called.

maybe they just turn it up too much for tv performances / etc.

but i dislike it.
especially with this new stuff where he tries to be crazy all the time.
vocal quality really suffers.

unless i'm just not artistic enough to see its brilliance.
who knows.

i'll still buy their albums.

Yorke has a good voice when recorded... but I saw the $2 bill thing... when he started going "AND THE RAAAAIIININNNNNNNDDDRRROOOPPSS, ANNNND THE RAAAAAIIIIINDROPS" I thought he was having a seizure. It was like he was possessed by the spirit of Katherine Hepburn.

they did Fake Plastic Trees and his voice sounded as good as ever. I guess these new songs have got that artsy fartsy thing going so the shitty vocals are o.k. on those...

but yeah, I noticed the vocals being less than his best but he sounded good again on one of The Bends songs. So...there ya go.

i feel like mtv mixed the sound bad.

even still it didn't sound as good as radiohead usually does.

I'm gonna hafta blame it on the mixing too. After hearing live stuff and watching the $2 bill thing, he sounds perfectly fine live, even after going crazy and whatnot....they shouldn't mix his vocals so high.
