my sister got me started on this and i kinda took the ball and ran. it's really not hard when it's just you, once you get your system down, i spend like 2 hours a week figuring out if im buying and getting my strategy down. but if you're shopping for like 3+ people it would be so time consuming.

it's also awesome to know that if i decided i needed a break i could probably go at least a year before i'd have to buy any toiletries, at least 3 months paper products, minimal food purchases for maybe 2 months (fruits/veg only)

if i really felt like hoarding i could go much longer, but i don't do that. i have no room. i just give the shit away if it's completely free and i don't need it, or i pass it up... like i can get super cheap/free or close to free salad dressing most of the time, but seriously i have like 10 bottles what am i going to do start drinking it

not to mention that in america there are explicit rules about placing items such as money or credit cards on the conveyor belt idk what sort of lawlessness canada condones

explicit rules, really?

basically don't put shit on the belt that could get caught in it. because it will get lost and/or broken.

idk what it looks like from your side of the belt but i remember a time (probably when credit cards were becoming more and more common) when there were signs posted at every station explaining not to lay money or credit cards on the belt.

my local wal-mart still has these signs posted.

if your loyalty card is on your smart phone then I have no solutions for you. All my advice comes from my dad in the 90s.

I know it's painful for a son to realize that his father is not Superman, but there is no need to be carrying a wallet larger than a 1/2 thick, let along 4 or 5.

i dont remember that, but i dont doubt it ha

stuff does get caught, gift cards, money, etc and 99% of the time it gets caught in a tray that is meant to catch these things and large debris so they don't just build up in the machine itself. but once a while something goes in and we cannot get it out.

i call them separators. but im sure there's a term they use when ordering them.

some people dont use them though and expect me to have telepathy and know when their order starts/ends

sort of how like the patrons who have been waiting in line were expected to have telepathy while they watch you and your newly opened register check out 5 or 6 brand new customers who just ambled up to your no-responsibility freak-out zone?

i dont get how this is the same thing

they see that i've opened. i have no way to move to them, so they must move to me. i will usually pick someone to come to the line who is in an advanced place in their line, but who still has the backfield accessible to them. besides that, yes i have little responsibility for others behaving fairly towards each other, since i can only do one thing at a time and cannot account for every customer and where they are on their respective lines.

old people love choosing a)
Do nothing. It is the only option that has 100% win/win and 0 risk of being a douchebag. Plus it's the lazy option.

even saying it's $30 sounds like too much. the other day i got 2 16packs of charmin, 3 months of fish oil, 6 mo multivitamins, some toothbrushes and some gum and other random shit for like $1

the best thing about CVS is you can use extra care bucks to buy other things that give you ECB and you can just roll them and not pay anything except tax
How? I want to be a coupon queen!

i like the CVS rewards program a lot better, too, but Walgreens is across the block from me so I mostly go there.

But I like my neighborhood Walgreens because everyone there is really friendly and it's convenient. Plus, they often have sales on cereal and milk is 1.99/gallon.
