hey guys im tiptoeing in here to see what the consensus on that sack on drew brees that cost the 49ers the game.

looks pretty bad. it's the textbook definition of a clean hit but with seriously excessive force.

american football is really quite a dumb game. sorry guys.

Carolina is going to be a tough team to play in the playoffs. They are going to be that team that gets in that no one else wants to play.

For that reason and others I hope the Panthers win the division and the Saints drop to that 5th seed. The Eagles would have to play the Saints anyway at some point if they make a run in the playoffs and it'd be better off playing them in Philly than it would be in New Orleans. I think I'd also take that over Carolina in the first round.

I'm not sure Denver ends up coming out of the AFC and if they do I still don't think they will be at their best in the Super Bowl. Peyton's play takes a dive in the cold that is for sure. I'm not expecting the Eagles to make the Super Bowl but winning a game or two is possible and an exciting prospect when we haven't won a playoff game in half a decade now.

I'm pretty cool with the Eagles in that I like their offense... But beating GB, the Raiders, and the Skins isn't a big accomplishment.

Against real teams like the Pats and Broncos, the Steelers and Eagles get their shit manhandled like little bitches. Playoff berths are possible but meaningless.
