Black Savage Murders White Couple for Their Car

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Officers say a second man in a double-murder investigation was taken into custody Thursday and released while a 17-year-old suspect remains in jail charged with capital murder.

Police arrested Lance Kirk Wednesday morning after stopping him in a car owned by the victims.

Officers tried to pull over Kirk for running a stop sign. Kirk took off, leading officers through Meadowbrook Elementary School, where classrooms were locked down.

"He was in the school probably four seconds, they tell me. He went in the front door and out the back," Lt. Jesse Hernandez said.

The suspect was found hiding in some nearby bushes and arrested.

Kirk is now charged with capital murder in the deaths of Robert Griswold, 58, and his 47-year-old wife, Joan (pictured, left). Both were found murdered in their south Fort Worth home, shot in the head.

Kirk is in the Mansfield Jail with his bond set at $1 million.
